FTSE 100 Index

FTSE 100 Index is a capitalization weighted index and is the most widely used UK stock market barometer. Its members consist of the top 100 largest companies by market capitalization listed in the London Stock Exchange (LSE)   and about 80% of the market capitalization of the entire exchange.

The index is maintained by the FTSE Group. FTSE, pronounced "foot-sea", is an abbreviation for 'Financial Times Stock Exchange'. The FTSE 100 Index was launched on Jan 3, 1984, with a base value of 1000.

FTSE 250 Index

The FTSE 250 Index consists of the 101st to 350th largest companies by market capitalization with primary listing on the London Stock Exchange.

FTSE 350 Index

The FTSE 350 Index combines the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 and lists the 350 largest companies listed on the LSE.
